Qualified charitable distribution (QCD) through your IRA

If you’re 70 1/2 or or older, you can make a qualified charitable distribution through your IRA. This minimizes your taxes and maximizes your conservation impact.

If you are 73 or older, your donation counts toward your required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year. It doesn’t qualify for a charitable deduction, but doesn’t count as taxable income.

Contact your plan administrator and request that a QCD be transferred directly to Chippewa County Land Conservancy, Inc. Your contribution of any amount, up to a maximum of $100,000 per taxpayer, is sent directly to the conservancy to help conserve natural lands in the Chippewa County area.

Bequests, life insurance proceeds, and proceeds of IRA or other retirement accounts

Your legacy gift ensures that the conservation work we do in the Chippewa County area continues to benefit wildlife, our environment, and future generations.

Share this page with your financial or estate planner to discuss a legacy gift ensures long-term protection for the natural world.
