Looking Back on 25 Years
On September 24, 2025 Chippewa County Land Conservancy members, sponsors, landowners and donors gathered at Market on River in downtown Chippewa Falls to celebrate the Conservancy’s 25th anniversary!
A successful and well attended event, participants enjoyed good food, drinks and camaraderie, along with a wonderful presentation by Patti See, local author and educator. Patti writes a monthly column in the Eau Claire Leader Telegram entitled Sawdust Stories. Patti included her keynote address in her column following the event. (Thank you Patti)! Thank you to our sponsors: Northwestern Bank in Chippewa Falls, Jim Bob’s Pizza, Josef’s Cheesecakes and Festival Foods. Your contributions are greatly appreciated.
A big thank you to all of our members, donors and landowners over the years. We were especially pleased to see landowners Bill and Tracy Boyd, Steve Thaler and the Kemper family in attendance. Their legacy is a true testament to the work of the conservancy and their commitment to conservation. Without them none of this would be possible.
And lastly, sincere gratitude to the unsung heroes, our volunteers and board members past and present. Not only do they manage our protected lands, but they manage all of the details administrating the non-profit, a not so easy task. We are proud to have served the community for the last 25 years with plans to continue moving forward for many more.
